Titel: Never leave your loved ones
Quote: “When you forgive, you love. And when you love, God’s light shines upon you.”
― Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild
Topic: What about his sister
Thinking about this story along with the idea of suicide it runs very close to me and has some too real glaring similarity it was very selfish on his part not to his parents but to his sister, the book clearly showed the bond they had some of his last words were to and about his little sister even in her speech she talked about how close they were and how much regent one carry when they lose someone that is your hero and is your very best friend. i feel it is unfair that she had her brother ripped away from her all because there parents simply could not handle there own life problems. the father felt the need to take his booze and anger and pain out on his wife and children none the less he was a pastor of the church which put even more of a light on them self one of the even bigger reason. All of this is just one big unfortunate situation and i feel that all of this could be easily resolved if the parents had just delt with there own problems in a healthy none abusive way.

Title; One must be mentally strong
Quote: “It's not always necessary to be strong, but to feel strong.” ― Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild pg.89
Topic: Was he really mentally strong
After reading this and thinking to myself was Chris really mentally strong enough for this voyage he was kind of mentally ill after dealing with all of that horrible family trauma. he only seeker out the woods because it was an escape from the reality of what he was living with. had he not gone through any of this unfortunate family value issues he would not of felt the unrelenting need to leave the rest of society to have complete isolation.so his actions we very much so called for he had every right to wan to just dispensary from all of the pain he was living in. but personally i do not think he was truly in the right mentally state to just go live in the wood which i feel did lead to the cause of this death from ingery and lack of food and water.

confidence is key
“I read somewhere... how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong... but to feel strong.”
Topic: would he of made it without confidence
Why do we as society see confidence with so much importance well its Simply because it determines how much you achieve in life and because it has a major impact on your happiness. Self confidence can be defined as your assessment of your own self-worth. This is more or less the same as your self-esteem.I feel that this is the reason Chris was able to walk in the wood and do so well he was just beeming with confidence. His confidence totally over shadows his fear and doubts about living in the wood by yourself for the rest of your life. I personally feel that if he didn't have confidence to do this he would have never survived.A lack of confidence, or being under-confident, will prevent a person taking risks, from accepting new challenges, from stretching themselves beyond their existing comfort zone.
